Thanks! I buy one every year from Kinokuniya, a great Japanese bookstore in NYC. I just searched on the web and found out that each page is a reproduction of the work of Keisuke Serizawa, who was a textile artist in the twentieth century. I think the technique was stencil painting. If you're interested, Google his name and you'll find loads of info and images!
Thanks Nicola! I appreciate your visit. I just noticed your two blogs (This I Like and A Touch of Happiness) and will be sure to add them to my list of blogs to visit regularly. Happy New Year to you too!
Happy New Year! I was going to ask about that fantastic calendar but I see someone else did...now I need to rush off and start Googling to find out more...
Thanks Hebden! I'm embarrassed to admit that although I've been buying this calendar for at least four years today was the first time I ever looked up any info about the artist! I guess a future post will have to feature the designs for each month of the year, present and past. Yet another reason to get a scanner, I guess ;)

Thought I'd stop by and check your blog - saw your comment on Goodness.
