This is very exciting news to me (and, I'm sure many, many others out there)... I've never did the waiting-on-line-to-grab-whatever-I-can-by-(insert designer's name here)-whether-I-really-want-it-or-not-because-it's-all-going-to-sell-out-in-under-one-hour thing, but that may have to change come March. Fingers crossed that the designs and quality will be worth the wait. And I really, really hope there's some great necklaces such as Consuelo Castiglioni is known for.

hey jennifer - after being attacked by a troll today, I'm curious: do you ever take flack for DIY?
Hey, Fleur! Sorry you had a troll attack today... Some folks are just cranky and bitter :(
I haven't yet gotten any flack for my DIYs, but that may just be because I don't get a load of visitors here... I have no problem recreating items being sold by chains and department stores, but I wouldn't do any of my own versions of other crafter/artists pieces... That's just because I wouldn't want anyone to copy my work, either.
My very first necklace for myself, the piece that started my love of making jewelry, was a copy of an Anthropologie necklace; I was floored by how much they wanted for it and figure I could make it myself for much less (and I did).
Besides, every second blog nowadays has some form of DIY posted, and everyone seems to love them. I know I've got about 100 DIY tutorials bookmarked on my computer!
Good luck, and don't let the trolls get you down :)
Can't wait to see the new H & M line. I really liked the green cuffs the model was wearing in the video. Fingers crossed that's part of the collection.
thanks for your thoughts! (and ps, yes, LOVING this marni collab. Normally I don't do fast fashion but I feel myself being won...over..cannot...resist!)
yes, you're right. Some people are just nasty. Since I am only ever making things for my own use/not for sale, I'm always surprised when this question comes up - to me, it's not a matter of impinging on anyone's livelihood if you aren't in the target market to begin with. I keep turning it over... =)
and now I'm off to make another silimba loop in pink AND purple for a 35-year old woman that I affectionately call, "the baby."
