Until next week...
I'm off to visit my sister in San Francisco on Thursday. I can't wait! I'll post about it next week, once I return & recover from my jet lag ;)

Close to my heart.
I have a love of lockets, jewelry that can hold a favorite photo of a loved one, or a pressed flower, or lock of hair. Recently I got hold of some wonderful tiny copper envelope-shaped lockets and felt the only thing to do was make myself a necklace.
But what to put in it?
I went through scans of some family photos and printed a group of them small enough to fit in the locket. Now I can keep my family close to my heart all day long.

fly, Black Bird Fly.
Yes, I know. More photo-related posts. Forgive me.
Ever since I first found out about it, I've been loving this.
I really, really want one, but I already have one of these. Actually, this is mine:
I have loved using my Rollei ever since I got it about 20 years ago. However the Black Bird Fly uses 35 mm film, which is a bit easier to get processed, especially in the digital era, than the 120 mm film used in my Rollei. (Not to mention that their website is really great.)
Unfortunately I won't be getting the Black Bird Fly unless the tooth fairy owes me some back payments with interest, or my money tree starts to produce :)
