Last week we had some messy weather in the metro New York area... snow, sleet, freezing rain, rain, ice... it was a meteorologist's dream but a commuter's nightmare. Christmas Eve day was dismal, but I smiled when I looked out one of the windows in my office and saw this star lit up on the lamp post on the street. I had never noticed it when down on the street (New Yorkers never look up, it makes you look like a tourist ;) and it brought a bit of sunshine into an otherwise gray day.
